OUR WEEKIt may have been short, but we had a great week this week! We read a great story about the Bremen Town Musicians, started writing our own opinion piece of our choice, and learned how to regroup in the ones place when adding! We also talked about Veteran's Day and why we had that day off of school. ReadingThis week we read and SANG ALONG to the story, The Bremen Town Musicians. This story was written as a play and we really enjoyed reading along with it while we listened. HomophonesWe also learned about HOMOPHONES and did a really great job of listing all the words we could think of that sound the same but have different spellings and meanings! We also listened to a great story called Dear Deer and listened to a fun Homophone Rap on Go Noodle! FundationsIn Fundations this week, we learned all about comparing words and using the suffixes -er and -est. We also learned that the suffix -er can be used to show what a person does for example a singer sings. WritingWe got to look at a really great list of Opinion Piece choices this week! We chose one on Monday and on Friday we started organizing our thoughts so that we can write our piece next week! MathLast week we learned how to add three digit numbers without regrouping. This week we used both Base 10 Form and Expanded Form to add with regrouping in the ones place! It was a little tough at first, but by the end of the week, we are really getting it! We also played a very fun game of "Race to 100" and practiced trading ones for tens. Veteran's Day Video
