Happy Holidays!We have had such a fun, holiday filled week! Reader’s TheaterWe worked in groups to perform The Gingerbread Man Readers Theater! The Origin of the Candy CaneWe really enjoyed reading about and answering questions about where candy canes came from! We did tons of candy cane themed activities and even got to eat some!! Holiday Story ProblemsDuring math this week, we worked on some story problems with a partner! Making OrnamentsWe made ornaments about the city we live in! All the ornaments had to have a Gloucester themed picture on them! Comic Book StoriesWe wrote a narrative from a comic strip about a snowman and a reindeer! Read AloudsWe has some great read alouds this week! Some were read by a few of us in our class! West Parish Sing Along!We did a great job at the Sing Along! Our Holiday Party!!A huge THANK YOU to the moms that helped make this possible!! The kids had a blast! Presents and Movie TimeToday was a nice relaxing pajama day with presents and a movie! HAPPY PAJAMA DAY!

What We Are Up To!We have had a busy week so far! With it being so close to the Holiday break, this week has been s lot of review and test taking! This class has been working so hard! ReadingWe are reviewing for our Unit 2 Test this week. We learned so many different skills throughout this unit. We did a deeper review of Plural Nouns to make sure we know how to add the correct letters at the end! WritingDo you want to build a snowman? We sure do! In writing this week, we are writing about how to build a snowman. To introduce it, we watched a little clip from Frozen! Then we started writing out the steps to how to build a snowman. MathWe have been powering through our Chapter 3 Math Test! We have worked so hard on subtraction and have all been showing our skills with regrouping. Gloucester High BandWe loves having the high school band come play some Christmas Carols for us!
