FIELD DAY 2019!We had a great FIELD DAY!!! The games were so much fun, we worked so well together, and most importantly, we had a blast!!! What we are up to!The end of the year is such a busy time! We have been having some fun with plants, learning how to read clocks, and practiced writing with quotations! ReadingWe have been learning some great new skills in reading this last couple weeks! We learned how to write with quotations and how to understand homophones. MathIn math we have been learning how to tell time! We played a couple really fun games! We matched an analog clock to a digital clock and then played “Telling Time KNOCKOUT!” Matching GameKNOCKOUT!ScienceWe have been learning all about plants and seeds this week! We were able to harvest our lettuce from the garden and then plant some dry bean seeds! Backyard GrowersMystery Science: Seed TravelWe did a really cool investigation about different types of seeds and how they travel to make new plants! We made examples of different types of seeds out of paper and then tested them to see if they could reach outside the “Zone of Darkness.” Exploring Each SeedThe Test!We each chose a seed to test and then we acted as the tree dropping its seed. If they seed lands outside the shadow of the tree ( the Zone of Darkness) then it will have a better chance to grow! Off-Site Fire Drill Success! Our class did a great job on the off-site fire drill last week!
