OUR WEEK!We were very glad to be back after a small break for Thanksgiving! We were greeted with a very fun surprise visitor! Welcome, Snowflake the Elf!!ReadingWe learned all about working together to solve problems this week. We read a great story called "One Good Turn Deserves Another." We also learned about Possessive Nouns! WritingWe finished our final draft of our Opinion pieces! We worked so hard on these for two whole weeks and they came out great! FundationsWe learned all about multisyllabic words this week! We practiced spelling each syllable and putting the whole word together. We also learned that words that end with the /k/ sound end with a "ck" if they are one syllable and end with a "c" if they are more than one syllable! Just like the words pack and public. MathWe are all masters of addition! This week we moved on to subtraction. We learned how to subtract using Base 10 Blocks and Expanded Form. We practiced subtracting with 3 digit numbers with no regrouping and with regrouping in the ones place. It is definitely tricky but we are getting better and better! ScienceThis week in Science, we investigated and sorted river rocks by their different properties. We will start getting more into how weathering and erosion breaks rocks down and change their size over time. We will look at the different sizes of rocks starting next week! BUBBLE KEEPERS!Congratulations to our Bubble Keepers this week! Kayson, Isabella, and Brooke have been working very hard to keep their personal bubbles intact and be social distancing while at school! Great job you guys!!!
