Our Week!We had such a fun week this week! With Halloween being this weekend, we also enjoyed doing some SPOOKY activities and dressing up at school! ReadingThis week in Reading Street, we learned all about how to help each other in dangerous situations. We talked a lot about how to do this and then read a story about two dogs that help their owner in a dangerous situation called Tara and Tiree, Fearless Friends. FundationsWe learned some great new glues sounds this week and also learned that these sounds are the "Closed Syllable Exceptions." We built and wrote words with -ild, -ind, -old, -olt, and the -ost sounds. MathWe have started learning about addition! This week, we practiced using our facts to make 10 to help us add smaller numbers and "make a 10." We used unifix cubes to model this skill with ten frames and did a lot of practicing!
